This is where we'll be posting info once our trip has begun. Posts will be somewhat infrequent (probably not too many internet cafes in rural Tibet and Nepal) but there will be cool pictures and stories when we get to major centers. The plan is to fly from Vancouver (Matt) or Calgary (Roddy) to Los Angeles, Singapore, Bangkok, and finally Kathmandu. We'll spend a few days in Kathmandu sorting out our Visas for Tibet. Then it's a short but spectacular flight over the Himalaya to Lhasa, where the craziness truly begins... After purchasing bikes in Lhasa and (of course) spending a number of days acclimatizing to the altitude, and seeing the sights, we'll start our journey along the friendship highway towards Kathmandu. Along the way we'll make a number of detours such as the side trek to everest base camp. Once we reach Kathmandu, approximately 2o-25 days after leaving Lhasa, it will be time to relax a little... then off to hike the Annapurna circuit trek....
